THE ALARM RUBBER BOOT IS MADE BY RECYCLING THE HIGHLY TECHNICAL YET WASTED MATERIAL OF BROKEN FIRE HOESES. IT IS DESIGNED TO OFFER PROTECTION DURING FLOODS, A FUTURE SCENARIO THAT IS BECOMING MORE CURRENT DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE.
ITS MATERIAL PROPERTIES CREATE A SHOE THAT IS MORE DURABLE THAN IN THE ORIGINAL ITEM.
THE DESIGN WAS CREATED DURING THE PROJECT 'POST-FUNCTION: RETHINKING WASTE' AT KÖLN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF DESIGN.
