War shoe
This a project design for Balenciaga. When the design theme was protection, the first thing I thought of was war. From ancient to the present, from armor to military uniform .The evolution of weapons change soldier’s wearing.
This pair of shoes has sharp lines. High shine Crome Leather looks like metal with a modern design language. Three detachable pieces are also the classic element of armor.
Bio I'm a footwear designer from Shanghai, China, focused on creating innovative performance. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Footwear Design from the University of the Arts London and a Master's degree in Sports Product Design from the University of Oregon. Since 2023, I have designed footwear across CrossFit, lifestyle, and basketball categories while drawing inspiration from athletes and sports culture. I also report on the Portland Trail Blazers during the 25-26 NBA season — a role that keeps me closely connected to athletes, performance culture, and the energy of sport.
