The Tensegrity Strider uses tensegrity structures to suspend the wearers foot to give off the illusion that it is floating above the ground. The shoe allows the wearer to float atop puddles by using the thin wire support system, much like a water strider uses their thin long legs to help them run atop the surface of the water.
