Xalapa, the city where I grew up, hosts one of the most diverse ecosystems in Mexico. The cloud forest. When I was a child one of my favorite pastimes was to visit the forest as well as the adjacent botanical garden. These flats are a walk through the garden. Literally. They are fun and playful. The plants that adorn and decorate the shoe are some of the ones that could be found in this forest and garden.
