A reduced consumption concept addressing waste of the furniture and outdoor industries by repurposing their durable materials into footwear and handbags. Both the furniture industry and the outdoor gear industry manufacture products that are made to last. However, they are rarely recycled and are under-appreciated in landfills. The process consists of the disassembling of second-hand products for raw material. The mission of REFURNISHED is to give new life to existing products, direct the fashion industry towards sustainable manufacturing and steer away from using new textiles in production.
