'Grey Gardens' is inspired by the eponymous cinéma verité film by Albert and David Maysles. The film centers around Edith Bouvier Beale (Big Edie) and her daughter Edith Erwing Bouvier Beale (Little Edie).
Their story is one of two women who are forgotten by society, codependency, nostalgia and the passing of time. There is beauty in their chaos and the tension between glamour and decay, chaos and inner strength.

Bio Heleen is studying shoe design at SASK, d’Academie beeld Sint-Niklaas in Belgium.
She started her career as an interior architect but changed course in 2016 and studied fashion management to proceed with a career in fashion. After working for various fashion houses she founded Tout Près in 2021, together with Debbie van Dam. Tout Près is a design and development studio that designs and develops ready-to-wear women’s collections for various brands and creative entrepreneurs.
