Unico is a 3D printed modular, sustainable, and fully recyclable children's shoe. Including children wearing ankle-foot-orthoses for medical reasons. Unico shoes are easily to slip into, ensuring comfort and inclusion. As children's feet grow quickly, Unico consists of only three parts: outsole, insole, and textile. The modular design, with no glue involved, allows for easy disassembly, washing, replacement, and recycling. The shoes are digitally manufactured using 3D printing and 3D knitting, allowing local production, minimizing waste, reducing costs, and shortening delivery routes.
Bio I was born in 1998 in Zurich and completed my BA degree in Industrial Design at the Academy of Art and Design HGK in Basel, Switzerland, in 2024.
