BLADE is a trail running shoe built for durability, inspired by the process of crafting a Damascus blade. The design mimics the layering and fusing technique, incorporating patterns formed during forging. Materials like Vibram outsole, ripstop, and hard reinforcements were key from the start. The challenge was balancing a sharp, bold design with simplicity, leading to the addition of the Damascus blade pattern and a visible NeoDry logo. A rubber-molded heel counter was critical, but after initial testing, adjustments were made to ensure optimal performance and construction.
