A draped wedge boot in soft taupe leather, grounded by a vibrant chartreuse toe. Natural sole bend harness straps arc around the form, framing its sculptural flow. Created in 2025 during the Shoes Mastercourse by Kobi Levi and René van den Berg in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, the piece explores the balance between structure and freedom, wearability and art.
Bio Isabel Monika Marchand is a shoemaker who shapes stories through leather, resin, and form. Her work at the Savannah College of Art and Design blurs the line between craft and concept, creating pieces that carry strength yet move with elegance, pieces that remember the past while stepping into the future. Each design is an artifact of wear and memory, balancing durability with the poetry of style and, most importantly, made to be lived in, not just looked at.
