While studying shoe design, I also work at a mental health center. I see daily how hard it is for people to talk about their struggles. This inspired my boot design. I used the Rorschach test, symbolizing how we all see the world differently. The hand-painted inkblots on white lamb leather reflect individuality. The open back with straitjacket-style buckles and mirrored silver leather invites reflection: “Am I still doing okay?” The process taught me a lot — technically and personally.
