This project presents [déjà vu], a concept shoe created with generative design to envision the footwear of the future. Merging aesthetics with sustainability, it draws inspiration from nature, specifically the tomato hornworm’s breathing system, to design dynamic, breathable slits using Shape Memory Polymers. The sole, developed via parametric tools like Grasshopper and Rhinoceros, mimics leaf venation for ergonomic, adaptive comfort. [déjà vu] blends natural familiarity with futuristic innovation, encouraging personal interpretation.
