This project explores identity through the idea of an “underwater self,” expressed through fluid movement, softness, and suspended calm. Early experiences with water inspired the visual language—slow motion, gliding forms, and the feeling of protection and clarity beneath the surface.
Research into aquatic motion, especially the smooth lift and glide of stingrays, shaped the silhouettes. Experiments with leather manipulation, sculptural padding, resin, and modular magnetic elements helped develop forms that feel both lightweight and expressive.
