This collection 'Da Vinci Code' was designed for Craft The Leather 2019, organized by Consorzio Vera Pelle Italian Conciata Al Vegetale. The shoes are made from veg-tanned leather from Tuscany combined with resin heels. The patterns are inspired by sketches of Leonardo Da Vinci.
Different techniques are used to obtain the prints: darkening by UV exposure, engraving in different strengths and lasercutting.
Leonardo Da Vinci once said "The noblest pleasure is the joy of understanding" and for me this is what shoe designing / shoe making is all about.
