Adapta is a fully customizable running shoe by the end customer with a uniquely designed midsole and upper. All this is possible only thanks to today’s AM technologies and the A.I of specific software.
The midsole material is a 3D printable elastomeric polyurethane which is obtained through the process of synthesis with oxygen (Digital Light Synthesis - DLS). This material has extremely resilient properties and is able to absorb and return energy in a similar way to conventional EVA used for the production of running midsoles.
