The Horned God boots are inspired by the Celtic Pagan Horned God, also referred to as Cernunnos, is the consort of the triple Goddess. He is the Master of Animals and symbolically represents rebirth and fertility. For this project I used real Springbok horns, sustainably sourced. In my process I filled the horns with resin so I could drill a nail through them to stabilize them to my hand carved wooden wedges. My intention was to explore how mysticism and mythology can influence fashion. These are not only meant to be boots but also an art piece, honoring history and the spirits of the past.
